Gold Country Casino is phasing in its reopening starting with the slot floor at noon on Friday and continuing to operate 24/7. Other casino venues will be reopened at later dates.
The casino will be screening all guests, employees and vendors before allowing them entrance into the facility. Face masks are required. There will also be sanitation stations located throughout the facility for guests to clean their hands.
Social distancing mitigations at the casino include “adequately spaced slot machines” and “Plexiglas shields installed in key locations across all venues,” according to a press release Tuesday.
Gold Country took advantage of the novel coronavirus shutdown to do some remodeling and upgrades installing new carpet and tile to the casino floor as well as adjusting its layout to better accommodate social distancing.
In Corning, Rolling Hills Casino reopens Thursday. Face masks are required and temperature checks will be performed at the entrances. Precautions such as extra sanitizer stations, barriers around the buffet and social distancing have been established, according to the casino’s website. Additionally gaming machines will be cleaned between play use; the air filtration system has been boosted so that inside air will be replenished with outside air every five minutes; and hand sanitizing stations have been set up throughout the casino and hotel.
Casino hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Oroville’s other gambling den, Feather Falls Casino, has not released information on its reopening plans yet however, according to its website, a new ventilation system as been installed that will “not only freshen air on the gaming floor but also help to combat viruses and bacteria in the atmosphere and on surfaces.”
